Facial Massage : Reminder for Therapist

  • Wash hands before in contact with client's face or products
  • Use spatula when takig products from container
  • Warm up cleanser if it is cold
  • The therapist's hands must be kept soft and flexible, in order to regulate the pressure while working over the different tissues
  • Resular hand mobility excercise required
  • The therapist must develop an acute sense of touch and awareness so that just the right pressure can be used in order to both stimulate and relax th tissue
  • An even rthythm must be maintained with noe sudden of jerking movement
  • Therapist should base the massage movements on the requirements of the client, such as the condition of the skin, muscular tone, vascular condition and the nervous state of the client
  • Regulate pressure according to the muscle bulk and specific skin codition observed
  • Maintain an even rthythm and establish the correct rate of movement
  • Always make evert client feel that you are giving the best massage for his or her individual needs, and answer all questions in a gently, friendly and professionall manner
  • Therapist should never give the impression of being rushed while performing a facial massage
  • Maintain the correct body posture during facial or/and body massage
  • Keep the hands flexible; doing regular hand mobility exercises

Preparation for Massage

  • Implement & Supplies must be on hand and ready for use
  • During the preparation for the treatment, it is essential to ensure client feels at ease and comfortable
  • Massage room should always be relaxed, quiet (if music is played, ensure it is Spa/Soothing music), cozy, neat and organized
  • Always brief the client on what to expect and its benefits if there are changes to her routine/usual massage treatment
