Massage Technique : Vibration (Vibratory Movements)


Vibration are fine trembling movements performed on or along a never path, by the fingers or distal phalanx of the thumb, or the palmar surface of the hand.


The muscles of the forearm are continually contracted and relaxed to produce this fine trembling or vibration, which can be applied either in static or a running form (fingers travel over an area)


  • Stimulates and clear nerve path
  • Brings about relaxation and relieves tension

Pratical Care

The entire palmer surface of the hand may be used or, for an intensive effect, the tips of the two fingers or the rhumbs can produce excellent relaxation results
